PEQUENO TRATADO DA LITERATURA INFANTIL E INFANTO-JUVENIL
MARTINA SANCHEZ
desenvolvimento.
No capítulo
No capítulo VI
SMALL TREATY OF THE
INFANTILE AND INFANTO-JUVENILE LITERATURE
Leaving the beginning that the child is product of biological factors and
of the middle in that she lives, and that the society is not static, she is
dynamic, the author gets the attention for the importance of this Infantile and
Juvenile literary gender, with preserved universal values, accomplishing like
this the basic objectives of a book destined to the children: TO FORM, TO
INFORM AND TO ENTERTAIN.
Through 140 pages with ten chapters and more Appendixes, we have a
coherent answer to the youths readers' needs, guiding parents and educators in
the choice of appropriate texts.
What is an Infantile book? According to Cecília Meireles, infantile book
it is not that that is written for the children, but it is that book that the
children like to read and that he/she leaves a starting point for new searches.
Like this, through the Introduction and of the Concept and Objectives of the
Infantile Literature, we are going understanding the importance of the text to
speak to the child's imaginative mind in the different phases of his/her
development.
In the chapter III it mentions "Classic" authors of the
Infantile Literature and it analyzes what they had to read in his/her childhood
as well as those readings and as the middle in that you/they lived influenced
in their literary creations. The reading sources went from the reading of the
Bible, sacred texts, mythology, literature epic, heroic, etc.
In the Infantile "Psychology and the Importance of the Literature
in the Infantile development" detaches the importance gradually of
respecting the phases of the child's growth for her to assimilate the manners
of seeing, to judge, to act and organize the realities, after the initial
phases in that the objective and subjective world gets confused. The psychic
growth and the organic growth has certain similarities; therefore a harmonic development
is very important. In the phase from 0 to 2 years the child only has sensorial
and motive experiences; from 2 to 7 years has the beginning of the domain of
the language; it is the pré-conceptual phase still without separation among the
objective and subjective world; the third phase of the 7 to the 11 years is it
of the "concrete operations" when it already organizes the realities
that it tries, and in the 4th phase of the 12 to the 15 years have the
"formal operations"; it is there that it is already capable to give
formal expression to the ideas. Then the importance of the symbols, of the
Hero, of the message or moral of the history, to do part of the small reader's
formative context.
In the sequence some "Classic" authors are analyzed, going of
Charles Perrault's Realism (THE Cat of Boots / the Fireside, etc.), of J. Swift
Satire (Captain Gulliver) and D.Defoë (Robson Crusoé), exalting the courage of
the heroes, even Júlio Verne, the geographer and reporter of his/her time,
going by other authors as Fénelon, Irmãos Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen,
Silvio Romero, Monteiro Lobato, etc. it Detaches the importance of each one in
his/her time, but that are reading of the readers' of all of the ages pleasure
for his/her value cultural, ethical-moral, magic until today, lúdico, that will
never lose the validity, because they are stepped on in universal values.
In the chapter VI we have the "Forms of Infantile Literature"
- the Folklore, the Legends, the Myths, the Fairy tales, the Fables, the
Narrative Histories and Soap operas, the Poetry and the Games, the Infantile
Theater, Walt Disney's Fable.
Before the Conclusion he/she makes a comment on the "Formative
Universal Message" and he/she reminds the importance of the Infantile
Library and the Book in the School, the Problems of the Infantile Literature.
In the Conclusion he/she reminds Isaac Bashevis Singer words, Prêmio Nobel of
Literature, justifying because he/she liked to write for children: - "
they adore interesting histories, they believe in GOD, in the FAMILY, in
angels, demons, witches, dwarfs, in the clarity, in the punctuation and other
obsolete things."
